Curator's Talk: Karen Moss on by Alison Knowles: A Retrospective (1960-2022)

Join Karen Moss, guest curator of by Alison Knowles, for a special Curator's Talk marking the closing day of by Alison Knowles. Art historians and catalogue essayists Lucia Fabio, Hannah Higgins and Nicole Woods will also participate.

Moss, an art historian and independent curator, curated exhibitions about Knowles at the Walker Art Center and San Francisco Art Institute, and wrote about the artist in her doctoral dissertation Performance into Pedagogy.

Fabio, a curator/researcher, served as a primary researcher, writer, and co-editor of the catalogue, and wrote her MA thesis on Knowles's communal and sensory food-based performance events.

Woods, Assistant Professor in Art, Art History & Design at Notre Dame University, is author of the forthcoming book Performing Chance: The Art of Alison Knowles In/Out of Fluxus, the first monograph on Knowles.

Higgins, University Professor in the School of Art and Art History at the University of Illinois, Chicago, is author of Fluxus Experience and The Grid Book.
