“Not to be taken seriously, especially by the avant-gardists, this is little more than a home movie mixed with science fiction spoof. One is sorry to see Jean Renoir wasting his time on such a trifle, but obviously he had fun doing it and much of its carefree quality does communicate itself to the audience.”
