A curious, stiff MGM attempt to adapt Pirandello's play about an amnesiac (Greta Garbo) who returns to a husband (Erich von Stroheim) she doesn't really remember. With Garbo and von Stroheim in the leads, it deserved better than George Fitzmaurice's journeyman direction.
