What Is Strange? Rabih Alameddine and Lawrence Rinder in Conversation

Beirut- and Bay Area–based, internationally acclaimed author Rabih Alameddine joins BAMPFA Director and Chief Curator Lawrence Rinder for a conversation on concepts of “strangeness” in relation to the exhibition Strange, which Rinder organized.

Alameddine’s most recent novel is the multi-award-winning The Angel of History. Other books include I, The Divine; Koolaids; The Perv; and the international bestseller The Hakawati. His novel An Unnecessary Woman was a 2014 National Book Award finalist as well as the recipient of other major awards. Alameddine was a Guggenheim Fellow in 2002.

Please note: it was previously stated that the exhibition galleries would be open prior to the lecture. This was incorrect. We apologize for the inconvenience.
