On a budget? We’ve got you covered. Here are six great ways to visit the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA) without spending a dime. Free admission includes all gallery exhibitions, as well as many lectures, performances, and readings.
1. Visit on a Free First Thursday.
Gallery admission is free for everyone February 7, 2019, and the first Thursday of every month.
2. Be eighteen or under.
You’ll never pay for admission before your nineteenth birthday.
3. Tag along with a child.
Kids thirteen and under can bring a grownup with them—free!
4. Flash your current Cal student, faculty, or staff ID.
You’re family. You’re always free.
5. Have your work in the BAMPFA collection.
If you're an artist whose work is in the museum’s collection, admission's on the house.
6. Become a member.
Membership has its privileges, and free gallery admission is just one of them. Find out more.
Bonus: BAMPFA members, students, UC Berkeley faculty and staff, kids, seniors, people with disabilities, and artists in the collection receive discounted admission to films in the Barbro Osher Theater.
