Daisy Granados, who also starred in Memories of Underdevelopment, gives a memorable performance in the title role of the estranged wife. Pastor Vega's Portrait of Teresa is a living picture of Cuba today, of men and women who face real limitations and difficulties in building a better society for themselves.
The film had its U.S. Premiere in September at the Telluride Film Festival, where it was wildly acclaimed by audiences and critics, and will go into major release in this country in a few weeks.
