An examination of the social problems still being resolved despite the profound transformation of the Cuban Revolution, One Way or Another dramatically confronts sexist attitudes that are part of the “hangover” from pre-revolutionary days. A dramatized semi-documentary, One Way or Another was directed by Sarah Gomez, the only woman director at ICAIC, and finished, after her premature and untimely death in 1974, by Tomas G. Alea.
