Dodsworth
A stylish adaptation of Sinclair Lewis' story of a self-made American businessman adrift in Europe with a good performance by Walter Huston as Sam Dodsworth, a builder and Midwest man of direct action, and an especially fine performance by Ruth Chatterton as his wife, who succumbs to the gigolo fortune hunters of a Continent healing its wounds between wars.
